Finally, the game I've been working on the past two years has been announced!!
You should all go and buy it and stuff. For my bonus. You know, if you like that sort of thing.

Questions for a ''podcast''.
Every now and then, my mate :iconmightymoose: and I catch up, talk movies and, for sh*ts and giggles, put the resulting waffle up on Youtube.
Well, we're going to have another bout of banter in the near future, and I thought it would be interesting if I took a few questions from the (potential) audience.
Chris and I are both cartoonists and movie geeks (as anyone who has previously listened will know) so if you've any questions about either subject, or anything that you think would make an interesting/funny topic to discuss (and I mean anything. Our aim is to make something that's entertaining to listen to), please let me know here.
Just as a heads-up: I probably won't use questions that relate specifically to either of our projects, or questions about what we think future products (movies/games) will be like.
Wonderboy: The Dragon's Trap
I’ve pretty much given up on Triple-A gaming. A current-gen console was probably the biggest waste of money I’ve made in a long time. There’s so very little worth playing on it.
It’s the indie crowd who are providing the best games at the moment. Browsing Steam is a bit like looking through video game magazines from the 90s: there was something amazing and new with every turn of the page.
My most recent purchase was Wonderboy: The Dragon’s Trap, which is simply a reskinned version of the 1989 classic. I say “simply”, but, good god, it’s a thing of beauty. It’s EXACTLY the same game (you can switch to the original visuals with a button press) but the 30-year-old sprites have all been replaced by delicious hand-drawn animations that ooze more charm than anything the big publishers have farted out recently.
It’s also hard as nails. They didn’t really do checkpoints back in the day. You either played well or a game would ser

Comic Creator Interview
Seems like I've been tagged. By :iconfrostedcanid:
1. What got you started drawing comics?
As long as I remember, I've always wanted to make my own stories and comics. My parents had tons of Disney comics and some European stuff (Asterix was a childhood favourite of mine), and it's actually not an exaggeration to say that I exist because of comics. No, really, my dad started dating my mom because she had a subscription to Aku Ankka, the Finnish Donald Duck comic, I would not exist without them. So it's not really a wonder that it was quite a central part of me growing up.
(Also I feel like I need to give a nod to the school year 2009-2010, which I spent in Liminka School of Arts in the comic line. Which, like, imagine having a house full of like minded comic liking young people, put them in the same place for almost a year 24/7 and see what happens. Possibly the best thing to ever happen to me. You can thank my classmates for bugging me into making Wurr an actual serious comic p
Improve Your Art (resource journal)
Hey guys, I've been really sick all week and haven't had energy to do much, but while I was sitting here I decided to put together a list of resources for those looking to improve their artwork. Below, I have listed resources for learning the fundamentals, a combination of books, videos, and websites that teach you about art. I am putting free or cheap suggestions. I'll probably think of more later, but for now, here are a few:
The mysterious disappearance of Murderburd
You've probably noticed that I haven't drawn much of Draco Stryx/Murderburd and the troll moms art lately, and I thought I'd talk about it a little.
I have probably more than a dozen different headworlds that can be sorted to roughly two cathegories.
There's my own headworlds all of which aim to one day maybe be part of how I'll make my living in future.
- Wurr (in production, comic), my dinosaur headworld (art book, currently in pre production), Simon's zoo (art book, pre production), and several others in various stages of being brainstormed here and there. All of them have the goal of becoming books and/or comics one day.
Then there's pure stress relief/fun, no strings attached, no responsibilities stuff. Things I cannot ever make money out of, and which thus are just casual fun.
- Pokémon and ARPG-stuff like the draco stryx and kukuri.
Except that Murderburd is kind of in a conflict there now.
Goodbye, Mr Bond.
Sir Roger Moore has died at the age of 89.
Though not my favourite Bond, his was undeniably one of the names most people associated with the role. He was certainly the one who spent the longest in the tux, playing the super-spy from 1973 to 1985.
He was knighted for his charity work, particularly for UNICEF.
Moore said that the citation "meant far more to me than if I had got it for acting... I was proud because I received it on behalf of UNICEF as a whole and for all it has achieved over the years".
No. Not my favourite Bond, but a damn fine Gentleman.
YouTube art channels
Since people always ask me where to find neat art tutorials, here's a comprehensive list of YouTube channels that teach art in one way or another.

Recent disappearance + New Book
(gosh it's been a while since I wrote one of those!)
Hey everyone, thanks for still being around even though I haven't been updating my deviantart in the past few months. [yes, I'm GUILTY AS CHARGED] :iconcryforeverplz:
The reason why I wasn't feeling like updating my deviantart is mostly because I don't have anything shiny or finished or polished enough recently.
I moved to my own apartment last November and I'm now officially living off of my own art! That's so freaking cool!... but I've been so caught up on freelance work that I can only feed my social media with sketches and studies, nothing that I judge "worth" of a submission here.
The rough stuff
I'm 'the guy who skipped art education' trying to make art as a living. This thought haunts me more than I would like to admit. That's why, since last year, I've been focusing on learning everything from scratch: fundamentals such as anatomy,
Dealing with honest thoughts
Do you find yourself in situations where the discussion steers towards something you have strong opinions but you know the majority will not share your thoughts and will definitely gang up on you, even if you raise a valid point or if it's based on cold statistics, other verifiable data or just common sense?
What comes to me, I want to ponder things from all angles, even those which are considered controversial. However, I'm usually bad at explaining my thoughts clearly, especially in face to face conversations (writing this isn't much easier, but at least I have some time to think this trough before posting). I also may not remember the details well enough to sound convincing. Although in some cases my thoughts truly reflects my real opinions, I also want to raise questions and,as I said, ponder things.
Usually I don't want speak my thoughts out, because I know that those I usually deal with in real life don't have the same way of thinking as I do. I tend to imagine that I jump outsid
Dog Training = Personal Growth
Last weekend I've participated on Professional Military/Working Dog Training workshops.
That kind of training isn't for everyone, for very few selected people who have been working with dogs - to not exploit methods and quality of the training by itself. I've learned that basically there are very few "good dog training" sources, other are containing too much philosophy than actual psychological facts.
It was a bit breaking experience for me because in my field of working dogs, sledge dogs, the knowledge I've gathered for years from respected mushers and even at sledge patrol - I find that basically... they know a lot about the dogs but aren't that well aware. Of course, there is an explaining why, because sled dogs is very specific area of working dogs - strongly based on teamwork and hierarchy, so human has less significant and modified role in training a dog unlike i.e. working dogs in army or hunting.
But there I'd like to share with you guys a few basic but very interesting facts..
Try to imagine desolated, barren landscapes with dramatic, heavy swirly clouds surrounding us. Lifeless, hibernal massive lands, dead marshadows and quagmires… though enlightened with colorful shades like shimmering opallus. On the further distance there are luminous blue icebergs on the horizon.
Thus, these barren lands were filled with so many alive myths, folklores, legends and warriors that battled for that land.
They gave a life into that void universe.
This is not how I imagined after hearing many stories and seeing hundreds of lush, beautiful photographs and films for years. I’ve ended being in a small, climatic nordic home with a local Icelander on my side, Snorri of Reykjavik. A true nordic spirit. I cooked some food. I always feel nervous when cooking at someone’s house, using different kitchen, to not fuck up with something. After lunch, we packed our gear, equipment, prepa
Update: New Plan! No Plan?
Been up to my neck in schoolwork lately but I've been thinking of what I want to do with my stories.
I know I put up that strawpoll before and I've been talking about my plans for what I'm going to write next, but to be perfectly honest I have had it with planning things out for a while. Like, this semester has been one of if not the most intense I've ever had, having to plan out so many tests, papers, and projects has just been and I don't think I want to be tied down to a specific set of stories.
So long story short, I don't really know what I'm going to write next but I do plan to keep writing. I have a LOT of ideas and really want to share them with you guys. As far as more mature content goes, the application may vary but right now I plan on adding some spice to my RWBY stories as well as adding a small excerpt into my Fire Emblem Fates stories (No sex, but probably describing their honeymoon after the games' sto
About my Nope creatures
Hai hai guys,
I would like to talk a bit about my latest ehm..."experiments" which are these creatures called "Nope" (it's not even their name, more like a label or something haha, but it kinda became their name at some point, also I'm not planning to come up with a super original name for them because there's no need for that...)
I believe it all started with this:
If there is a Nope forest then there must be animals living there which are also kinda NOPE.
Are these like an Original Species?
The answer is nope, they are not. You see, each creature has their own species (Nope Goat, Nope Rabbit etc.)
"Nope" is more like a condition, if that makes sense lol
Besides, I once tried to make my own original species (because wow so cool), but honestly it sucked and I got into troubles becuase of them and basically the whole thing was just rubbish. NEVERMIND. The point is that I'm not gonna turn this into a huge thing like that. I just wa
Snake Enclosures + Care
Since I started posting pictures of my snakes, I’ve gotten a lot of questions from interested prospective snake keepers about how I keep my snakes and whatnot. I figured I’d show some of the most recent enclosures I made and talk a little bit about it. I promise I’m an art account and not a snake account (lol) but since I’ve gotten so many questions and so much interest I figure it’s my responsibility to show how involved it can be to keep snakes. It is not something to go into lightly, and I’m hoping to show that here.
A couple of important points before I start though:
-There is new information constantly being discovered, and as a reptile keeper it’s my job (and anyone else’s) to stay as up to date as possible. There’s no guarantee that any information here will be accurate in a couple years. Constantly do research!
-Every species of snake has different needs and you’ll need to do a lot
Finished Not Perfect
I'd like to share a mantra from artist Jake Parker, for those who struggle with their artworks: 'Finished Not Perfect.'
It's a good mantra to remind myself everytime I'm struggling to finish a piece of illustration that I've started. I hope I can do the same for my personal comic projects that I'm reluctant to continue when I become indecisive or fickle minded with the source material.
It is important to expect nothing, to take every experience, including the negative ones, as merely steps on the path, and to proceed.

Music: Jacob Lee - I Just Know
Peter Capaldi is handing in his sonic screwdriver and TARDIS key at the end of the next season.
It’s a bit of a shame as it feels like he only really just arrived. I guess it has something to do with 2016 going by without a series and us having to make do with the Christmas Specials.
Unsurprisingly, the question is now being asked: who’s the next Doctor?
Of all those on that list, and despite it being a snub at the opportunity to diversify, I would kill to see Tim Roth in the role.
If diversification is demanded (which is entirely possible. It is the BBC, afterall), I’d say the role of the Time Lord (or Lady) would be perfectly suited to:
Joanna Lumley – Granted, she’s a bit creakier now than she was in Curse of the Fatal Death (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who:_The_Curse_of_Fatal_Death), but if John Hurt can play the role at 70
When I close my eyes and visualize myself standing on the cliff and… I think that's one of most amazing feelings ever. That feeling of stress, excitement and surrealism "Am I dreaming? No it's reality!"
As there is an old, true saying among pilots… flying is surely better than sex!
But this time it won't be ordinary journal about flying but my personal about my first serious flight in high alps, a very important trigger to overcome the worst.
It was 9 months ago, so let's rewind back to my last birthday....
(It's a follow up story after Arnaq's death)
Another day. A beautiful, blooming day. Spring is the sign when everything returns back to the life.
"I am alive on this earth, but she is not alive. It's so unfair." - my first thoughts, while gazing up on sky.
On my birthday, after sending Arnaq on the Rainbow Bridge, I've fell in a deep slumber. On that such shocking day, mixture of unex

Having an Online Presence
"All artists need to have an online presence," I said.
"Easy for you to say, Popular Artist™," they said.
"I had to work hard to get 'popular'," I said
"But it's SOOO hhaaaaAAARD," they said
"That's what I just said," I said.
After making my status posts about making an online presence, I figured I'd make a sort of guide. I made a very generic list of things you should do as an artist who wants to get their name out there or "get popular". A lot of people were like, "but I've done all of that". But chances are, you haven't. There's a lot that goes into this and it takes a long ass time. Don't think it's just gonna happen in a month.
So I made a guide based on my own experience and what worked for me (as an illustrator/artist. Some of these tips are more specific than others and some of these will not necessarily work for you. Everyone's different. Keep in mind this is mostly for illustrators/animators/story artists etc. This won't work fo
Even more Pandoraverse Fun facts
Have some new Pandoraverse fun facts/headcanons because it's been a while
-Of the Mom Six, it was Twilight Sparkle who was chosen to eventually sit all the kids down (Pandora, Cupcake, Stormy, Rosemary, and Magnolia), and give them the talk about "the birds and the bees." Young Magnolia May was mortified at how casually and calmly Rosie asked questions about sex, Pandora couldn't help snickering throughout Twilight's entire lecture, poor Cupcake tried to hide behind Pinkie Pie's legs, and when they got to the slideshow about the (bloody, messy) miracle of foalbirth, Stormy fainted. All in all Twilight thinks it went okay
-Moondancer is, on some level, attracted to Bruce, his former childhood bully. Way deep down, Bruce thinks Moondancer is "pretty". Both of them are in extreme denial about this
-Cupcake was actually reluctant to be friends with Pandora. At the time, Cups much preferred to be left alone, like Oddball. She defended Pan from a cluster of mean bullies once, b
